DEVO : BOOJI BOY’S FUNERAL [HARDCORE DEVO VOL. 2, 1991]

Το Booji Boy [“Boogie Boy”] δεν είναι ακριβώς παιδί, αλλά ένα είδος πιθηκοειδούς μετάλλαξης, οικείας σ’ ένα κόσμο όπως εκείνος που οι Devo έχτιζαν από τα early ’70s, πολύ πριν άνθρωποι όπως οι Bowie [“they are the band from the future”], Iggy Pop, Fripp & Eno ενδιαφερθούν για την παραγωγή του πρώτου τους άλμπουμ. Το συγκρότημα από το Akron του Ohio διάλεξε τελικά τον Eno.
Το κομμάτι περιλαμβάνεται στη συλλογή από demos
Harcore Devo Vol. 2 του 1991.

Booji Boy [“Boogie Boy”] is not exactly a child, but a kind of ape-like mutation, familiar in a world like the one Devo had been building since the early ’70s, long before people like Bowie [“they are the band from the future”], Iggy Pop, Fripp & Eno asked to produce their first album.
The band from Akron, Ohio, eventually picked
Eno.
This piece is included in the 1991 demos collection
Harcore Devo Vol. 2.

I grew up with these people. I totally idolised them in the late ’70s – early ’80s!
