NEIL NORMAN AND HIS COSMIC ORCHESTRA : GREATEST SCIENCE FICTION HITS

Το
Daughter Of The Lesser Moon

Over four decades [’70s – ’00s]
Neil Norman and his Cosmic Orchestra have released several compilations of performances of classic sci fi themes from film and television. A large number of them are invalid, due to an attachment to the disco beat on the verge of mockery.
There are several interesting ones though, like the ones we have here.
Daughter Of The Lesser Moon is an “autonomous” composition of his own.

Is the Predator music from the film with Arnold Schwarzenegger?

The music reminded me of the old TV show Time Tunnel at a point.
Still laughing about “the disco beat on the verge of mockery.” Lol… I like dancing so disco wasn’t a mockery to me, until I went to a holiday party that played nothing but disco Christmas Carols. I left the party very early!

It’s the music from Predator – Neil Norman’s version!

These are surprisingly good covers! I have to admit I doubted you over the Daughter of the Lesser Moon. It sounded absolutely familiar I was certain it was an actual theme tune to some sci-fi programme. So I googled. Nope – you were right! It’s an original composition. Amazing!

Thank you! I wouldn’t recommend the full Neil Norman experience though, meaning complete albums. They’re full of disco versions of sci fi classics. No problem with disco on my behalf, but most of the covers are just ludicrous. 😊
