Σε σύντομο διάστημα απ’ την εμφάνιση του στη σκηνή της Νέας Υόρκης, αρχές δεκαετίας του ’90, ο κιθαρίστας και συνθέτης Kurt Rosenwinkel αναδείχθηκε σε ένα από τους κορυφαίους της γενιάς του. Μαρτυρούν γι’ αυτό οι συνεργασίες με μουσικούς όπως οι Gary Burton, Paul Motian, Joe Henderson και Joshua Redman, και ο προσωπικός ήχος (συνδυασμός στοιχείων παραδοσιακών και σύγχρονων, αλλά και ηλεκτρονικών) που ανέδειξε σε μια σειρά εξαιρετικών άλμπουμ όπως το Ηeartcore του 2003, απ’ το οποίο ακούμε το title track. 🟡 🟡 Shortly after emerging on the New York jazz scene in the early 1990s, guitarist and composer Kurt Rosenwinkel established himself as one of the leading musicians of his generation, as evidenced by collaborations with artists such as Gary Burton, Paul Motian, Joe Henderson and Joshua Redman. Equally distinctive is his personal musical voice, blending traditional and contemporary elements – including electronic textures – showcased on a series of outstanding albums, among them the 2003 release Heartcore, from which we hear the title track.
