JETHRO TULL : LIVING IN THE PAST [1972]

August is a month abundant in significant musicians birth dates. Among them – for emotional reasons – I pick Ian Anderson.
We’ll be listening to several
Jethro Tull tracks in the coming days – alongside a tribute to the recently deceased Tony Bennett.

Happy and I’m smiling
Walk a mile to drink your water
You know I’d love to love you
And above you there’s no other
We’ll go walking out
While others shout of war’s disaster
Oh, we won’t give in
Let’s go living in the past
Once I used to join in
Every boy and girl was my friend
Now there’s revolution, but they don’t know
What they’re fighting
Let us close our eyes
Outside their lives go on much faster
Oh, we won’t give in
We’ll keep living in the past
Oh, we won’t give in
Let’s go living in the past
Oh no, no we won’t give in
Let’s go living in the past

This has always been one of my favorite Jethro Tull songs.

Mine too. Although it’s one of too many. JT are one of the best things ever happened in my life as a music lover.

Their music was a big part of my high school years.

Mine too. Thick As A brick was one of the first rock albums I ever heard. You can imagine the impact of a thing like this on a 12-year old!

Aqualung made a big impression on me when I was 15.

I love this, always have! It’s a Tull classic.
    Can’t go wrong
