Aπό τα πιο συμπαθή μου σχήματα της νέας χιλιετίας είναι οι Beach House από την Φιλαδέλφια. Το ντουέτο αποτελούν οι songwriters & multi-instrumentalists Victoria Legrand [ανηψιά του Γάλλου συνθέτη] και Alex Scally.
“Dream pop”, “εναλλακτικό ροκ”, “ψυχεδέλεια”, είναι λέξεις που αποδίδουν κάτι από το κλίμα της μουσικής τους, όχι όμως και το πόσο ενδιαφέροντες είναι, σε αντίθεση με τα περισσότερα σύγχρονα γκρουπ του είδους.

The duo are consisted by songwriters & multi-instrumentalists Victoria Legrand [niece of the French composer] and Alex Scally. “Dream pop”, “alternative rock”, “psychedelia”, are words that tell something about their music’ mood, but not how interesting they are, unlike most contemporary groups of the genre.

Loving it! Seems I only had 1 century of music in me, before here.
Well, I don’t want to sound like bragging, but I go back to 1100.
And trust me, there’s incredibly intelligent and “relative” stuff written in every era.

Mostly. But also fantastic troubadour songs! the origins of today’s folk!
Right! Troubadours, minstrels.. I forgot about them. It’s a wonderful thing how far back different musics can trace their roots.
