Δεν μπορώ να κρίνω αντικειμενικά αυτό το τραγούδι : ήταν από τα πρώτα παιδικά μου ροκ ακούσματα και ο Alice Cooper ήταν το πρώτο μου “ίνδαλμα”. Είμαι ως εκ τούτου καταδικασμένος να το θεωρώ …φοβερό.
Μεταξύ μας δεν νομίζω ότι αυτό απέχει πολύ απ’ την πραγματικότητα. Ιδίως όταν ακούω την απίστευτη, μπροστά απ’ την εποχή της παραγωγή του Bob Ezrin για το Billion Dollar Babies.
I can’t be objective with this song : it was one of the first rock songs I ever heard and Alice Cooper was my first “idol”. I am therefore forever sentenced to think of it as …awesome.
Between you and me, I don’t think that’s far from reality. Especially when I hear this incredible, ahead of its time production of Billion Dollar Babies by Bob Ezrin.

I’ve been a fan of Alice Cooper since the early 70s. I was one of the fortunate teenagers who got to listen to Alice Cooper without my parents having a fit.
Same here, since the middle ’70s. Not so fortunate with parents and fits, though…
In any case it was a life change experience, and I still get the chills from this guy’s voice.
I remember when Alice Cooper burst upon the scene. He made quite a splash/kerfuffle.
Though I enjoyed the music abundantly without the help of visuals… I envy you for being there!

Knowing what we know now Oannes of Black-eyed babies, it brings a whole different perspective to the song.. I am afraid to say, but I was never really a fan of Alice Cooper.. He was certainly captivating though.

Ενδιαφέρον κομμάτι και έκπληξη το καθαριστικό σολάκι α λα James Bond. Ίσως ο Cooper να ήθελε να δείξει ότι μπορεί να γράψει το μουσικό θέμα του double o seven. Φυσικά εάν γινόταν κάτι τέτοιο θα ήταν για την ταινία “Ζήσε και άσε τους άλλους να πεθάνουν” με την θεματολογία voodoo και το παρουσιαστικό το Alice Cooper θα ταίριαζε γάντι
Όντως. Άλλωστε είναι γνωστή από παλιά η αγάπη του AC για τις ιστορίες με κατασκόπους και ντετέκτιβ.
Η παραγωγή του Bob Ezrin πάντως είναι τελείως ’90s κατά την άποψή μου – πέρα από το Billion Dollar Babies και άλλα του Alice ο τύπος έχει κάνει βιβλικές παραγωγές όπως το Berlin του Lou Reed, το πρώτο [και μακράν καλύτερο] του Gabriel και το The Wall.
