1978 SINGLES : KLARK KENT / THE DAMNED / UNDERTONES / TELEVISION PERSONALITIES / TEARDROP EXPLODES etc

Klark Kent was the name of the band with whom Police drummer Stewart Copeland [born on this date, July 16, 1952] released a single titled “Don’t Care” in 1978. The album by the same name would be released two years later.
We hear it amid a few more “classic” singles from that same year, starting with
The Damned and ending with The Teardrop Explodes
.

Oh hell yes!!😃👍. Great fun music. I’m thrilled with the inclusion of the one-off project Klark Kent. Too few people are aware of this cool side project from the Police’s Stewart Copland. Thanks for the great music 👏👏👏

Yeah, all cool music! I remember Clark Kent, somewhat. Stewart Copeland is a wonderful drummer!
Not many 3 piece bands work, but the Police with Stewart Copeland sure did… and Jimi Hendrix Experience with Mitch Michell works for me too!

Let me not forget Ginger Baker! (a bit nutty, but worked for Cream)
