URIAH HEEP : EASY LIVIN’ [1972]

Οι Uriah Heep από τα early ‘70s και το άλμπουμ τους Demons And Wizards.
The level of how “uncool” a song like this sounds today is an element, and a consequence, of how cool it really is.
Uriah Heep from the early ‘70s and their album Demons And Wizards.

This is a thing I’ve never known before
It’s called easy livin’
This is a place I’ve never seen before
And I’ve been forgiven
Easy livin’ and I’ve been forgiven
Since you’ve taken your place in my heart
Somewhere along the lonely road I had tried to find you
Day after day on that windy road I had walked behind you
Easy livin’ and I’ve been forgiven
Since you’ve taken your place in my heart
Waiting, watching
Wishing my whole life away
Dreaming, thinking
Ready for my happy day
And some easy livin’
Somewhere along the lonely road I had tried to find you
Day after day on that windy road I had walked, walked behind you
Easy livin’ and I’ve been forgiven
Since you’ve taken your place in my heart
Easy livin’ and I’ve been forgiven
Since you’ve taken your place in my heart

For some reason, the track would not play! I’d forgotten all about this group and on seeing the headline in my inbox thought it had something to do with Charles Dickens 🤣

Sounds like a rock classic to me. I like them better now, than I did when I first heard them. Thank you, I haven’t heard them for a long while!
