Ακούμε δυο κομμάτια από το άλμπουμ που ο Ολλανδός συνθέτης & βιρτουόζος της κιθάρας (διάσημος από τη συμμετοχή του, ως ιδρυτικού μέλους, στους Focus) κυκλοφόρησε στα late ’70s με τίτλο το όνομα του. Tα δυο tracks δίνουν μια στοιχειωδώς εποπτική εικόνα του μουσικού background του Akkerman, όπως και του μητρικού γκρουπ. Στο Floatin’ κυριαρχεί η fusion πλευρά, με πρωταγωνιστή τον νεαρό εδώ, ζωντανό θρύλο σήμερα, Γερμανό πιανίστα της jazz Joachim Kühn. Στο δεύτερο, Gate To Europe, το λόγο έχει η ευρωπαϊκή παράδοση. 🟡 🟡 We hear two tracks from the album that the Dutch composer and guitar virtuoso (famous for his participation, as a founding member, in Focus) released in the late ’70s under his own name. The two tracks give a basic overview of Akkerman’s musical background, as well as that of the mother group. On Floatin’, the fusion side predominates, with the German jazz pianist Joachim Kühn (a youngster back then, a living legend today) being the star of the recording. On the second, Gate To Europe, the floor is given to the European tradition.
