Το λόγο έχει ο “κοσμικός” Μπαχ με δυο …casual συνθέσεις : το τραγουδάκι για την απόλαυση του καπνού της πίπας (So oft ich meine Tobackspfeife, BWV 515 / 515a) σε θυμοσοφικούς στίχους ανώνυμου ποιητή της εποχής : “Κι όταν ανάβει η πίπα, βλέπεις πώς μέσα σε μια στιγμή ο καπνός χάνεται στον αέρα, και μένει μόνο η στάχτη. Έτσι καταναλώνεται η δόξα του ανθρώπου και το σώμα του γίνεται σκόνη”. Ακολουθεί (02:39) το τρίο – φινάλε της Καντάτας του καφέ (Schweigt stille, plaudert nich, BWV 211), έργου με ανάλαφρη και χιουμοριστική διάθεση, σε στίχους του λιμπρετίστα του JSB, Picander (Christian Friedrich Henrici). Εύκολα μπορεί κανείς να το φανταστεί σαν αντανάκλαση των στιγμών οικογενειακής ευωχίας, για τις οποίες ο συνθέτης υπήρξε περιώνυμος. 🟡 🟡 The “cosmic” Bach has the floor with two … casual compositions: the little song about the enjoyment of pipe tobacco (So oft ich meine Tobackspfeife, BWV 515 / 515a), with verses of “reflective wisdom” by an anonymous poet of the era : “And when the pipe is lit, you see how in a moment the smoke vanishes into the air, and only the ash remains. Thus is consumed the glory of man and his body turns to dust.” This is followed (02:39) by the trio-finale of the Coffee Cantata (Schweigt stille, plaudert nich, BWV 211), a work with light and humorous mood, with lyrics by JSB’s librettist, Picander (Christian Friedrich Henrici). One can easily imagine it as a reflection of the moments of family joy and conviviality for which the composer was renowned.
