Did a vehicle
Come from somewhere out there
Just to land in the Andes?
Was it round
And did it have
A motor
Or was it
Something
Different
Did a vehicle
Did a vehicle
Did a vehicle
Fly along the mountains
And find a place to park itself
Or did someone
Build a place
To leave a space
For such a vehicle to land
Did a vehicle
Come from somewhere out there
Did a vehicle
Come from somewhere out there
Did the indians, first on the bill
Carve up the hill
Did a booger-bear
Come from somewhere out there
Just to land in the Andes?
Was she round
And did she have a motor
Or was she something different
Guacamole Queen
Guacamole Queen
Guacamole Queen
At the Armadillo in Austin Texas, her aura,
Or did someone build a place
Or leave a space for Chester’s Thing to land
(Chester’s Thing… on Ruth)
Did a booger-beer
Come from somewhere out there
Did a booger-bear
Come from somewhere out there
Did the Indians, first on the bill
Carve up her hill
On Ruth
On Ruth
That’s Ruth

This is perfect for me right now.

Glad I’m helping you keeping up the good work!

I occasionally forget how great the musicians in Franks bands always are. Ruth is always more than amazing. The claymation, though, is more than a little strange….
According to “experts analysis” it is very unique and technically innovative. To be honest, I never really liked it aesthetically myself. 😊
It is not my favorite FZ song, but the playing on it, particularly this live version, is just amazing.
Yeah, mind boggling! [not my favorite FZ song either, still great though!]
I love how we can see Zappa conducting the beat through some of the trickier syncopated sections. A good reminder just how tight a band he kept and how superlative a musician he was. Ruth Underwood is just phenomenal here too – such skills! I love the animation too 😀
You’re absolutely right. This music comes not form the past, but form a future …moving further and further away. Thank you!
