Η εκτίμηση μου για το ταλέντο του Vince Clarke (Depeche Mode, Yazoo, Erasure) ως συνθέτη και παραγωγού είναι απεριόριστη : ακόμα και ως προς τους Depeche, ο δίσκος που προτιμώ μακράν είναι ο πρώτος τους, μ’ εκείνον στο τιμόνι. Όσο για τους Erasure, η συνύπαρξή του με ένα ερμηνευτή της κλάσης του Andy Bell ήταν ένας “γάμος στον ουρανό”, και εξακολουθεί να είναι. Ακούμε ένα δείγμα της χρυσής synth-pop του ντουέτου. 🟡 🟡 My admiration for Vince Clarke’s talent (Depeche Mode, Yazoo, Erasure) as a songwriter and producer is boundless. Even with Depeche Mode, the album I prefer by far is their very first, with him at the helm. As for Erasure, his collaboration with a singer of Andy Bell’s status, has been a “match made in heaven,” and it still is. We’re listening to a token of the duo’s golden synth-pop.
