Το υποβλητικό πρώτο single των Dead Or Alive : το συγκρότημα του Pete Burns βρίσκεται στη φάση της μετoνομασίας / μεταπήδησης από το χώρο του post-punk / gothic ως Nightmares In Wax (απλή “συνωνυμία” με το επίσης βρετανικό project Nightmares On Wax) σ’ εκείνον της synth-pop, όπου και θα διέγραφαν επιτυχημένη πορεία ιδίως στη διάρκεια των ‘80s. Το γνωστότερο τραγούδι τους ‘You Spin Me Round’ έχει αποδοθεί από κάποιους, όχι τελείως αδικαιολόγητα, στους Depeche Mode.

The evocative first single by Dead Or Alive : Pete Burns’ band is in the phase of renaming/transitioning from the field of post-punk/gothic as Nightmares In Wax (a mere namesake coincidence with the also British project Nightmares On Wax) to the one of synth-pop, where they would carve out a successful path especially during the ’80s. Their most famous song ‘You Spin Me Round’, has been attributed by some, not entirely unjustifiably, to Depeche Mode.
