Well that was…different!
I took it as a joke, considering the fact that the original is one of my all-time favorites. But I think it’s also decent in its own way. 😕😊
The original is great – I don’t think this is a joke but it does seem odd to have The Hoff do an almost identical cover, other than ‘heavying up’ the riffs. I do struggle with covers that don’t bring anything to the table. I end up thinking ‘why bother?’
It certainly wasn’t made as a joke, but I thought I’d enjoyed it myself as one. Maybe he wants to introduce himself to a different audience, who knows. What surprised me was a certain amount of decency in his approach, despite being identical to the original – to expect a ground breaking cover of the Passenger by DH was way beyond my imagination! 🤪🤪🤪
So… I enjoyed that. He can actually sing. Kinda cool he picked an Iggy song to cover. I like it better than his TV series, for sure.
Kind of funny and sad, as well.
