Ο κύριος στα δεξιά [βλ. εξώφυλλο], φέρνων ελαφρώς στον Χρήστο Τσαγανέα, είναι ο Otto Klemperer, ένας από τους μεγαλύτερους αρχιμουσικούς όλων των εποχών, και προσωπική μου αδυναμία βεβαίως-βεβαίως.
Στα αριστερά ο σολίστ του πιάνου και μετέπειτα κορυφαίος μαέστρος επίσης, Daniel Barenboim.
Τους ακούμε να ερμηνεύουν, ο OK διευθύνοντας την New Philharmonia, το Allegro Con Brio από το “μοτσαρτικό” δεύτερο κονσέρτο για πιάνο και ορχήστρα του LVB – πρώτο στην πραγματικότητα που έγραψε ο συνθέτης αυτού του μήνα. Η ηχογράφηση είναι των late ’60s.
The gentleman on the right [see cover] is Otto Klemperer, one of the greatest orchestra conductors of all time and my personal favorite.

We hear them performing, OK directing New Philharmonia Orchestra, Allegro Con Brio from the “Mozartesque” LVB’s second piano concerto – it was in fact the first written by this month’s composer. This is a late ‘60s recording.

Yes. One of the reasons is that he was constantly revising and rewriting his works in order to reach “perfection”. Which he seldom felt he did. In spite of what people thought of him, the guy was humble in a way!
