THE BRYAN FERRY ORCHESTRA: DO THE STRAND [THE JAZZ AGE, 2012]

From the superb album Bryan Ferry released with his Big Band in 2012, sending his songs into the roaring ’20s, and opening a new chapter in a glorious career…

Same here, I fell in love with it form the moment I heard it! It works hand in glove with ’20s era classics like “At The Jazz band ball”…
Thanks a lot and a happy new year!

That was super! There is so much to enjoy from the Jazz Age and about it.
I’ve been a big fan of Bryan Ferry since Roxy Music (***Love is the Drug***). My fave 1 song he does is “Jealous Guy” by Lennon.
I had NO idea about this orchestra. Thank you!

Huge fan of BF and Roxy, and it was the surprise of the year when this came out. I knew Bryan is a jazz fan, but I didn’t know that included the hot jazz era [’20s + early ’30s], which is one of my favorites. This is a fantastic album and so is the next one with the orchestra, BITTER SWEET. Thank you Resa!
