TCHAIKOVSKY : “THE TEMPEST”, op. 18. RUSSIAN NATIONAL ORCHESTRA, dir. MIKHAIL PLETNEV

The symphonic fantasy
“The Tempest” is one of the works of the Russian composer which draw inspiration from Shakespeare’s plays [also: Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet]. We hear an unparalleled performance of the Russian National Orchestra under the direction of conductor and [also amazing] pianist Mikhail Pletnev.

Incredible! How can a person hear all of that in their mind, and write it down on paper for others to read out loud with a musical instrument?
It really is like learning another language, like Latin.
    Totally enjoyed this!
