Είναι όμως ευκαρία για μια εναλλαγή “καυτών” και “δροσερών” κομματιών, αρχίζοντας με ένα απ’ τον “πατέρα του σύγχρονου jazz drumming”, τον θρύλο Roy Haynes : έχοντας ξεκινήσει την καριέρα του στα ’40s δίπλα στον Lester Young και τον Charlie Parker, συνεχίζει μέχρι σήμερα, σε ηλικία 97 χρόνων. Το τελευταίο του άλμπουμ κυκλοφόρησε το 2011. Το κομμάτι που ακούμε προέρχεται από το Vistalite του 1979.

The heat wave is an opportunity for a succession of “hot” and “cool” tracks. Beginning with one from the “father of modern jazz drumming”, the legendary Roy Haynes : having started his career in the ’40s next to Lester Young and Charlie Parker, he continues to this day, at the age of 97. His last album was released in 2011. The track we’re hearing is from 1979’s Vistalite.
