Ένα μικρό αφιέρωμα στον θρύλο της ψυχεδελικής και της ανεξάρτητης σκηνής, τον singer-songwriter Roky Erickson που γεννήθηκε σαν σήμερα, 15 Ιουλίου 1947 στο Dallas του Texas. A little tribute to the legend of psychedelic & alternative scene, singer-songwriter Roky Erickson who was born on this date, July 15, 1947, in Dallas, Texas.
The period of his historic first group 13th Floor Elevators would end with the collapse of RE, his “diagnosis” with paranoid schizophrenia and his confinement in the local mental hospital where he underwent “shock therapy” against his will.
With his release in the mid-’70s Roky would produce some great music with his next band, The Aliens, and on a series of solo albums, in the context of a career marked by instability, mental and legal problems.
