RAMONES : WE’RE A HAPPY FAMILY [SONGS OF CHILDHOOD NOSTALGIA]

Εικόνες οικογενειακής ευωχίας, όπως τις περιγράφει ο “γιός” της οικογένειας, υπό το ηχητικό μπαράζ των Ramones. Από το Rocket To Russia του 1977. Οι δημιουργοί του ‘Married With Children’ πρέπει να μεγάλωσαν με τέτοια τραγούδια.

Pictures of family euphoria, described by the “son” of the family, supported by the Ramones barrage of sound. From 1977’s Rocket To Russia. The creators of “Married With Children” must have grown up with songs like this.

We’re a happy family, we’re a happy family
We’re a happy family, me, mom and daddy
We’re a happy family, we’re a happy family
We’re a happy family, me, mom and daddy
Siting here in Queens
Eating refried beans
We’re in all the magazines
Gulpin’ down Thorazines
We ain’t got no friends
Our troubles never end
No Christmas cards to send
Daddy likes men
Daddy’s telling lies
Baby’s eating flies
Mommy’s on pills
Baby’s got the chills
I’m friends with the President
I’m friends with the Pope
We’re all making a fortune selling Daddy’s dope
Siting here in Queens
Eating refried beans
We’re in all the magazines
Gulpin’ down Thorazines
We ain’t got no friends
Our troubles never end
No Christmas cards to send
Daddy likes men
We’re a happy family, we’re a happy family
We’re a happy family, me, mom and daddy
We’re a happy family, we’re a happy family
We’re a happy family, me, mom and daddy

Good choice – although I prefer “Beat On The Brat” – even if it isn’t politically correct to say so. 🤣👏🤣

LOVE the Ramones! Where to start?
Have you seen the 4 part documentary (1 hour each) PUNK? It’s fabulous, and hysterical. An R&D guy said the first time he saw them, they did their 16 song set in 20 minutes (paraphrased).

Yes, I’ve seen it – I ‘ve been a “punk” myself as a little boy. And I worshiped Iggy, The Damned, the Ramones and Devo!

I knew you’d have seen it! It is a fab documentary. It’s interesting in a history way, it’s entertaining and it makes me laugh & sigh!
