Από την Αργεντινή, μέσω στρατόσφαιρας, πετάμε στην Κίνα, όπου συναντάμε μια άλλη πιανίστα “όχι του κόσμου τούτου”. Είναι η Yuja Wang, στη διασκευή από τον Victor Staub του συμφωνικού ποιήματος του Dukas, “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”.
Το έργο του Γάλλου συνθέτη ήταν εμπνευσμένο απ΄το ομώνυμο ποίημα του Goethe, και έγινε ευρύτερα γνωστό από το soundtrack της “Φαντασίας” του Disney.
Σημαντικός, αν και ολιγογράφος, ο Paul Dukas [1865-1935] ανήκει στον κύκλο των μουσικών αυτού του μήνα.

From Argentina, via stratosphere, we fly to China where we meet another “otherworldly” pianist. It’s Yuja Wang on Victor Staub’s arrangement of Dukas’ symphonic poem “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”.
The French composer’s work was inspired by Goethe’s poem by the same name, and became widely known from the soundtrack of Disney’s “Fantasia”.
