As for an answer to your question [“why so often the truly great ones are overlooked”] I suppose it has to do with whether a “power pole” …benefits from someone being famous or not. This has always been the case, either it’s Beethoven being successful, or the Beatles, or a scum like Madonna. I suppose in today’s world no-one in power has anything to benefit from us being famous!
Again who knows what time will bring. Lets try to keep it optimistic.
