MINISTRY : NWO [ΚΕΦΑΛΗ ΞΘ, 1992] / AL JOURGENSEN B-DAY

Τον ύμνο των ’90s “N.W.O”, από το άλμπουμ ΚΕΦΑΛΗ ΞΘ’ (The Way To Succeed And The Way to Suck Eggs)

On this date, October 9th, Al Jourgensen, John Lennon and Camille Saint Saens were born…We’ll listen to pieces of all three, starting with AJ’s “iconic” one with Ministry. The ’90s anthem “N.W.O”, from the album ΚΕΦΑΛΗ ΞΘ’ (The Way To Success And The Way to Suck Eggs)

[Sample]
“It’s alright! It’s alright!”
“It’s alright! Follow me!”

I’m in love without the tears of regret
Open fire ’cause I love it to death
Sky high with a heartache of stone
You’ll never see me ’cause I’m always alone
How to love without a trace of dissent
I’ll buy the toys if you can pay for the rent
Flying high with a public in hand
I’m in love with the promised land

[Sample]
“It’s alright! Follow me!”

I’m in love with a malicious intent
You’ve been taken, but you don’t know it yet
A truer love has never yet to be found
I see the sunset through the eyes of the clown

[Sample]
“It’s alright! Follow me!”
What we are looking at
Is good and evil, right and wrong
A new world order
A new world order
A new world order
A new world order
We’re not about to make that same mistake twice
A new world order
A new world order
A new world order
A new world order
A new world order
A new world order
A new world order
A new world order
A new world order
A new world order
A new world order
A new world order
A new world order
A new world order

Wonderfully relentless, restless… and possibly reckless! Love it!
Would you say they are in a similar league to Nine Inch Nails?

Ministry were the absolute pioneers of this sound…and Nine Inch Nails’ role models.
Trent Reznor of NIN idolized Ministry in his youth [so did I …and quite a few others].
To me this song is THE anthem of the ’90s.
    Thank you!
