Στη νέα βερσιόν, ενορχηστρωμένη από τον αξιόλογο συνθέτη David Bedford [βλ. post THE SIRENS https://oannes.gr/david-bedford-the-sirens-the-odyssey-1976/] ο M.O. έχει περιοριστεί στα κιθαριστικά του καθήκοντα.

The Orchestral Tubular Bells was released four years after the original album – basically performed by Oldfield himself.
On the new version, orchestrated by the remarkable composer David Bedford [see post THE SIRENS https://oannes.gr/david-bedford-the-sirens-the-odyssey-1976/] M.O. has been reduced to guitar playing activities.
We hear the thrilling finale of the first part.

I’m a huge fan of MO, though I will admit I’ve never listened to this version.
Oldfield himself was not satisfied with Bedford’s orchestration, maybe that’s why he didn’t promote the album much.
Other sections don’t work so well maybe, but I really love this one.
