Πρωτοκυκλοφόρησε στο κλασικό άλμπουμ Sabotage/Live, τέλη 1979 και λίγους μήνες αργότερα σαν επτάιντσο single, σε πιο συμπαγή μορφή, την οποία και ακούμε. Το συγκεριμένο, studio track είναι “εξαφανισμένο” έκτοτε, μη έχοντας εμφανισθεί ποτέ σε άλμπουμ. Another key contribution by stcigar to our anti-war tribute, this song by John Cale from the late 1970s. It was first released on his classic album Sabotage/Live at the end of 1979, and a few months later as a 7″ single, in a more compact form — which is the version we’re listening to. This particular studio track has since “disappeared” and has never appeared on any album since.

That said, I’m not sure which is worse: the cold-blooded mercenary killer, or the one who’s ready to slit your throat for God and country.
The problem is, the so-called elites have never shared the goals of …little people, nor have they ever really cared about us.
Particularly those elites who go into politics.

Έχεις δίκιο. Προφανώς οι επιλογές υπαγορεύονται από εγχειρίδια γεωστρατηγικής που αποκλείεται να μην έχει διαβάσει. Ως προς το Ιράν ειδικά (η Βενεζουέλα ήταν ένα τεστ, και ούτως ή άλλως peanuts) ανάμεσα στα σλόγκαν ακούγονται διάφορα περί “God’s plan”, Αποκάλυψης, …Αρμαγεδδώνα και δε συμμαζεύεται. Ο ίδιος ο κρυπτο-ομοφυλόφιλος war monger Lindsay Graham μιάει για “θρησκευτικό πόλεμο”, κι ας μην ξεχνάμε και αυτά με τους πάστορες, προσευχόμενους μετ’ επιθέσεως των χειρών στον “chosen one” – αγωγό της θεϊκής ενέργειας…
