Apart from fitting for the occasion, ‘The Last Day On Earth’ is the most “human” and, maybe because of that, my favorite Marilyn Manson song.

I concur with Liz. The song has a nice weird end of world sound to it.
I agree. There’s also a “sentimental” element rarely present in this guy’s music.

His self images are odd at the least, freaky at best. This image made me never want to listen to anything he ever did. Talk about a prejudiced mind… me.
Still, he’s no Ministry. Hmm, why am I comparing the two?
MM begun as a Ministry disciple, like NIN’s Reznor and practically everyone from the “industrial” genre. No-one comes near to the real thing of course.
But this particular Manson’s song is one of my ’90s favorites!
And I must say I appreciate his visual side much more than his musical one. I find his videos utterly interesting.
I’ll have to check out a couple videos, be more curious.
Agree no one comes close to Ministry. Once I heard them (here) I was an instant fan… lover!
