Μίνιμαλ στιλιστικές διαφορές, τεράστια χρονική απόσταση / διαφορά ειδικού βάρους, χωρίζουν τα κομμάτια που ακούμε (O Adison είναι DJ – παραγωγός με έδρα το Newcastle) . Και το ερώτημα, για όποιον ενδιαφέρεται για “τέτοια πράγματα” : άνθρωποι σαν τους Kraftwerk θεωρούνται πρωτοπόροι γιατί έστρεψαν τη μουσική κοινότητα προς μια κατεύθυνση που είδαν αυτοί πρώτοι; ή γιατί ακολούθησαν πρώτοι αυτό που είχε ήδη αποφασιστεί ως “η κατεύθυνση”;

Minimal stylistic differences, huge temporal distance / difference in significance, separate the tracks we listen to (Adison is a Dj-producer based in Newcastle). And the question, for anyone interested in “such things”: are people like Kraftwerk considered pioneers because they steered the music community toward a direction they saw first? Or because they were the first to follow what had already been predetermined as “the direction”?

Kraftwerk : Spacelab sounds like it is telling a story. Would it be considered a tone poem!
Basically it is considered ground breaking, like most of the things these guys did in the ’70s.
That said, imho, every serious piece of music tells a story (in pictures). To put it better, it dictates a (different) story to each and every serious listener.
Therefore, I don’t go that much for terms like “tone poem”. Or “atmospheric music” for that matter : Decent music is “atmospheric” and “story telling” by nature.
Thank you for answering my question!
