Κατά ένα ενδιαφέροντα – με τη πιο νοσηρή έννοια – τρόπο, κάθε βιογραφική αναφορά στην Tina Turner [R.I.P.], κάνει μια ιδιαίτερη στάση στη σκληρή κακοποίηση που υφίστατο από τον πρώην σύζυγο και συνεργάτη της. Για την ακρίβεια, αυτή είναι συνήθως η μόνη αναφορά στην πιο δημιουργική περίοδο της καριέρας της : 16 ολόκληρα χρόνια [1960-1976] στη διάρκεια των οποίων ηχογράφησαν ουκ ολίγα σπουδαία τραγούδια …και άλλα, λιγότερο σπουδαία αλλά σούπερ διασκεδαστικά. Κάποια από αυτά θα ακούσουμε για μερικές μέρες.
Interestingly – in the most morbid sense of the word – every biographical reference to Tina Turner [R.I.P.] makes a special stand on the severe abuse she suffered from her ex-husband and partner. In fact, this is usually the only reference to the most creative period of her career : a whole 16 year period [1960-1976] during which they recorded quite a few great songs, and some less great but super fun ones.
