Η νέα πρόταση του stcigar, πέρα από το ηχητικό ενδιαφέρον που παρουσιάζει για πολλούς (σίγουρα για μένα) αποτελεί τροφή για σκέψη. Δράστης ο Γερμανός συνθέτης / sound designer συνθέτη και sound designer Ben Lukas Boysen ευρύτερα γνωστού ως Hecq. Το υλικό του άλμπουμ Mare Nostrum (2015, Hymen Records) του οποίου ακούμε το πρώτο του μέρος, συνίσταται σε “ηχογραφήσεις πεδίου” από τον υπερυπολογιστή MareNostrum που έγιναν στο Barcelona Supercomputing Center. Δεν υπάρχουν συνθεσάιζερ, beats, όργανα ή άλλα πρόσθετα στοιχεία πέρα από τα μικρόφωνα που χρησιμοποιήθηκαν αναδιατασσόμενα απ΄τον Hecq, στο διάστημα των δυο ωρών που κράτησε η ηχογράφηση. Η μόνη άλλη παρέμβασή του συνίσταται σε μια ελάχιστη ηχητική επεξεργασία και στο τελικό mix. The creator of the project is the German composer and sound designer Ben Lukas Boysen, better known as Hecq. The material of the album Mare Nostrum (2015, Hymen Records) the first part οf which we hear — consists exclusively of field recordings from the MareNostrum supercomputer, made at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. There are no synthesizers, beats, musical instruments, or any other added elements. The only tools used were a few microphones, which Hecq repositioned multiple times during the 2 hours of the recording session. The artist’s only other intervention was minimal processing of the raw material and the final mix and.
