This is nothing less than the greatest!
I had a rich … acquaintance, years ago. He had a player piano. He also had a lot of old piano rolls with Fats Waller’s music. He said Fats had punched them himself. ??
I read an old interview with Fats. It was way before musicians had any publishing rights (seems to be going that way, again). Anyway, he was asked how could he sell his songs right out for $100.00.
He said I have a family to feed. I also have hundreds more songs in me. (paraphrasing)
