ENNIO MORRICONE PODCAST No 5 : BEYOND THE SILVER SCREEN [A]

Anna Magnani – Tre Donne, 1971

From the ’60s on, Ennio Morricone‘s work for television, a medium with “more commercial” standards was not merely inferior to the one we are used to.
As a matter of fact, as this podcast shows, it was equally, or even more demanding.
Together, we hear another of
Ennio‘s “off-screen” compositions: ‘UT’, for trumpets, strings, drums and gran casa.

00:00 UT – Per Tromba, Archi, Timpani e Grancassa

13:03 Tre Donne – Sulla Via del Campidoglio

15:46 Dietro il Processo – Dietro il Processo

18:48 Via Mala – Via Mala

21:25 La Piovra 3 – Una Strana Bambina

25:22 Gli Indifferenti – Gli Indifferenti

32:38 I Promessi Sposi – I Promessi Sposi

35:58 La Piovra 5 – Giustizia

38:42 Karol, un Papa Rimasto Uomo – Un Papa Rimasto

Another fabulous edition to the series. Wonderful “new” sounds to my ears. Morricone on the small screen is a near impossible find her in the United States; so I’m grateful for this posting. Hope your weekend has been fabulous 🤞🏼😃👍
