DEEP PURPLE : LOOSEN MY STRINGS [1996]

Μια μεγάλη στιγμή για την δισκογραφία των Deep Purple ήταν το Purpendicular των middle ’90s. Ήταν επίσης το ντεμπούτο με τη μπάντα του σπουδαίου κιθαρίστα Steve Morse.
Purpendicular, released in the middle ’90s was a great moment for Deep Purple’s discography. It was also the great guitarist Steve Morse’s debut with the band.

Wake up in the morning
Get into bed
closing my eyes
I rest my head
There is no arrangement
No time no place
It’s gone in the wind
and left no trace
Who can say,
maybe or whatever.
It’s up to you
You know you can
trust me
I’ll make it up to you
You move with the action
You loosen my strings
Your fingers
can smooth out my jangles
and all those things
Grease on the handle
and the tangles
in my hair
They always seem
to go together
I don’t care

I didn’t know that Deep Purple recorded into the 1990s.

As a matter of fact, THEY STILL DO! 😊😈
Τhis one in particular is very good – OK it’s not “Machine Head” but …it rocks.

I’m surprised. They were big when I was in high school in the ’70s.

They were huge back then. They’re still big now. I lost interest in them when Jon Lord left the band some 20 years ago.

I must have lost interest when they stopped getting airplay.

    I completely missed this album!
    Pretty great! Thank you!
You know, I adore Highway Star! Listening to it now. Fantastic. I saw Deep Purple live in the 70’s. It was on Easter Sunday.

Highway Star was my very first “life changing” musical experience, because Machine Head was the first rock album I ever heard as a boy!

I was about 15 when I saw them. They were the headliners. Fleetwood Mac opened. I was mesmerized!!! Best Easter ever!
