Ο κλασικός αντιπολεμικός ύμνος των Creedence, και ένα από τα πιο δυνατά τραγούδια που ο John Fogerty έχει ποτέ γράψει. Από το άλμπουμ Willy And The Poor Boys του 1969.
The classic anti-war Creedence anthem, and one of the strongest songs John Fogerty ‘s ever written. Taken from the album Will And The Poor Boys, released in 1969.
Some folks are born made to wave the flag
They’re red, white and blue
And when the band plays “Hail to the Chief”
They point the cannon at you, Lord
It ain’t me, it ain’t me
I ain’t no senator’s son, son
It ain’t me, it ain’t me
I ain’t no fortunate one
Some folks are born silver spoon in hand
Lord, don’t they help themselves, yeah
But when the taxman comes to the door
The house look a like a rummage sale
It ain’t me, it ain’t me
I ain’t no millionaire’s son, no, no
It ain’t me, it ain’t me
I ain’t no fortunate one
Yeah, some folks inherit star-spangled eyes
They send you down to war
And when you ask ’em, “How much should we give?”
They only answer, “More, more, more”
It ain’t me, it ain’t me
I ain’t no military son, son
It ain’t me, it ain’t me
I ain’t no fortunate one, one
It ain’t me, it ain’t me
I ain’t no fortunate one
It ain’t me, it ain’t me
I ain’t no fortunate one

CCR has always been a favorite.
A classic. love CCR!
I remember when that song came out. I was 10 or 11 and my brother was playing it a lot. I gave my vinyl collection to my daughter several years ago. That record is in it.
👌👌👌🎵🎶👏👏👏CCR is the sound of the Vietnam War movies … for me
This is such a great song. I agree – “one of the strongest songs John Fogerty ‘s ever written.”
Too bad it’s only 2:22 minutes long!
Great song!
