CESAR FRANCK [1822-1890] : PIECES FOR HARMONIUM

Cesar Franck για [πιάνο και] harmonium.
Το

At first I thought of setting up a heavy duty program with church organ music, in the wake of the destruction of the one in Nantes Cathedral.
Then I realized that in the summer, and with the temperature rising, the program might be …too heavy duty.
So here are some short, light or not-so-light,
Cesar Franck‘s pieces for [piano and] harmonium.
The
harmonium, a French invention of the mid-19th century, is the domestic little brother of the church organ.

… not so light… I did chuckle, as I imagined what his heavy pieces were like. Guess I’ll hear them in the winter!
