BLACKOUTS : HAPPY HUNTING GROUND (1980)

Στη σύνθεση των Blackouts, της punk rock μπάντας από το Σιάτλ που διέγραψε αφανή πορεία στα early – mid-80s περιλαμβάνονταν δύο μετέπειτα μέλη των Ministry. Για την ακρίβεια, η rhythm section του γκρουπ : BIll Rieflin (R.I.P.)

In the line-up of
Blackouts, the Seattle punk rock band which followed an obscure trajectory through the early-mid-80s, two later members of Ministry were included. More specifically, their rhythm section BIll Rieflin (R.I.P.) – drums and Paul Barker – bass, a key collaborator of Al Jourgensen’s subsequent work on a series of classic albums. By the way, the “duo”, reunited, is currently recording Ministry’s farewell album, to be released in 2026.

I’m walking through the fields at night
The stars are cold, they burn so bright
The air is thin, it cuts like glass
Each step I take might be my last
Happy hunting ground, happy hunting ground
No one’s lost, and no one’s found
Happy hunting ground, happy hunting ground
Shadows move without a sound
The earth is cracked, it’s split in two
It calls to me, it calls to you
A silent voice, it hums so low
It tells me things I’ll never know
Happy hunting ground, happy hunting ground
No one’s lost, and no one’s found
Happy hunting ground, happy hunting ground
Shadows move without a sound
There’s a fire in the distance, burning slow
Where it leads us, I don’t know
Every whisper, every scream
Fades into this endless dream
The ground is cold beneath my feet
The pulse of life, it skips a beat
I’m chasing ghosts, they slip away
They’re gone before the break of day
Happy hunting ground, happy hunting ground
No one’s lost, and no one’s found
Happy hunting ground, happy hunting ground
Shadows move without a sound
Happy hunting ground, happy hunting ground
