Μουσικός αποχαιρετισμός στον Robert Redford μέρος δεύτερο, με μια από τις (δίκαια) εμβληματικές ταινίες στις οποίες έχει πρωταγωνιστήσει : The Way We Were (Sidney Pollack 1973 – Redford, Barbra Streisand) Αποφεύγοντας το κουραστικό (από τη χρήση και όχι μόνο) βασικό θέμα / τραγούδι, ακούμε δυο αποσπάσματα από τη μουσική του Marvin Hamlisch γι’ αυτήν : Look What I ‘ve Got (00:00) & Remembering (03:04). 📀 📀 Musical farewell to Robert Redford, part two, with one of the (rightly) iconic films he starred in: The Way We Were (Sidney Pollack, 1973 – Redford, Barbra Streisand). Ahh, yes she is pretty great. I did get to meet her briefly, about 30 years ago. She was so gracious and classy, to me, who was hired for the day to shine shoes and sew hems.
As a young boy, I’d pay a lot for shining Barbra’s shoes, I can assure you of that! 🤣

That movie was quite a weeper, albeit not exactly a cinematic great.
A weeper yes, and also (not a great but) a really good film imo. It may have to do with this ‘thing’ I had with Barbra. 😇
My dad had a “thing” with Barbra. He was not happy with her curly hairdo at the end of the movie.
Μια μέρα πριν το θάνατό του εντωμεταξύ άρχισα να βλέπω στην τύχη, χωρίς να έχω ιδέα ότι επρόκειτο για την τελευταία ταινία στην οποία πρωταγωνιστούσε ή ότι έπαιζε καν for that matter το Captain America The Winter Soldier. Για δικούς μου λόγους την παράτησα ήδη από την αρχή, προτού ο εν λόγω εμφανιστεί ακόμα. Τη συνέχισα τη μεθεπόμενη, αφού είχε ήδη πεθάνει πλήρης ημερών, έκπληκτος από το γεγονός ότι επρόκειτο για την μοναδική ταινία του RR που είχα παρακολουθήσει εδώ και δεκαετίες.
Ε …”δε θα το πιστέψεις”, αλλά εμένα μου συνέβη το εξής : έβλεπα μια μαλακιούλα για χαλάρωση μετά το μεσημεριανό. Ένα πραγματάκι στο οποίο πρωταγωνιστούσε ο James Fransiscus, τηλεοπτικός κατά βάσιν ηθοποιός, τον οποίο βλέποντας “αξιολογούσα” βαριεστημένα σαν Robert Redford του φτωχού. Τελειώνοντας η ταινία, ανοίγω το κομπιούτερ και πέφτω πάνω στην είδηση.
