MUSIC FROM THE FILMS OF SAM PECKINPAH: THE WILD BUNCH [1969]

SAM PECKINPAH 1925 – 1984

Before Quentin Tarantino, there was Sam Peckinpah. On the occasion of the great director’s anniversary [2/21/1925],  we have some excerpts from his film soundtracks…starting with the one written for  the classic “The Wild Bunch”, by his favorite composer, Jerry Fielding.

That was so inspiring, while I wrote. Love Sam’s movies. Do you know “Pat Garret and Billy The Kid”. It’s my fave movie of his. With Bob Dylan, Kris Kristofferson, Rita Coolidge and James Coburn in it, it remains one of my personal favourite movies of all time.
