Το δεύτερο σόλο άλμπουμ του μεγάλου κιθαρίστα και σημαντικού συνθέτη, τον βρίσκει σε φάση στοιχειώδους ανασυγκρότησης μετά από μια ιδιαίτερα δύσκολη περίοδο (αποχώρηση από τους Fleetwood Mac, εξαφάνιση από τη σκηνή, νοσηλεία σε ψυχιατρικά ιδρύματα, διάγνωση με “drug-induced schizophrenia” κοκ). Η ηχογράφηση του In The Skies θα γίνει χαλαρά, σε παρεΐστικο κλίμα, με τη συμμετοχή μουσικών όπως ο κιμπορντίστας Peter Bardens (Camel) και ο κιθαρίστας Snowy White (Thin Lizzy, Pink Floyd, R. Waters) που θα αναλάβει και το ρόλο του σολίστα σε δυο απ’ τα tracks του άλμπουμ – το πρώτο από τα τρία που ακούμε εδώ. 🟡 🟡 The second solo album by the great guitarist and important songwriter finds him in a phase of rudimentary recovery after a particularly difficult period (departure from Fleetwood Mac, vanishing from the scene, hospitalizations in psychiatric institutions, a diagnosis of “drug-induced schizophrenia,” and so on). The recording of In the Skies took place in a relaxed, informal atmosphere among friends, with musicians such as keyboardist Peter Bardens (Camel) and guitarist Snowy White (Thin Lizzy, Pink Floyd, R. Waters) who also takes on the role of lead soloist on two of the album’s tracks — the first of the three we’re listening to here.
