This to me is the highlight of the deceased’s top soundtrack, the one for Blade Runner – it would have been fair having gotten the Academy Award for it, instead of Chariots [the theme of which was derived from a previous one on Heaven And Hell – 1975].
‘Rachel’s Song’, surprisingly, was not heard on the film, although included on the soundtrack. Which, by the way, had to wait 10 years + to be released after its recording.

Blade Runner was a fun movie.
Ridley Scott’s best, along with Alien of course.
Vangelis’ best music ever [I liked him well enough, but I’ve never been a devotee, to tell the truth…]
Just lovely . . .
10 years +…
This piece is beyond beautiful. Perfect for Rachel, I can’t believe it was cut from the movie. Wow!

Beautiful!
A super, super movie. Great music which I really must re-investigate. The female voice on this recording sounds very like Enya. Any idea who it was?
Mary Hopkin, the “famous” Beatles protege and wife of brilliant Bowie’s producer Tony Visconti.
Thanks for that!
