TELEVISION : THE DREAM’S DREAM [ADVENTURE, 1978]

On this date,
December 13, 1949, Thomas Miller, better known as Tom Verlaine, was born in New Jersey. Singer-songwriter, guitarist and leader of the historic, although ephemeral Television.
The New York – based band released two albums before splitting in the late ‘70s [a short reunion and another album would follow in 1992], with
Verlaine going solo.
We hear a song from their second album, with excellent guitar work.

The elevator called me up
She said, “You better start making sense.
“The stone was bleeding
Whirling in the waltz
I went to see Her Majesty
The court had no suspense
She said, “Dream dreams the dreamer.
“I said, “It’s not my fault.”
