Το νέο άλμπoυμ του θρυλικού noise τρίο, To All Trains, επρόκειτο να είναι και το κύκνειο άσμα τους : ο Steve Albini, κιθαρίστας – lead singer (από τους διαμορφωτές του εναλλακτικού ήχου των late ‘80s και εντεύθεν, παραγωγός & sound engineer αναρίθμητων άλμπουμ για καλλιτέχνες όπως οι Pixies, Jesus Lizard, Fugazi, Nirvana, PJ Harvey) πέθανε από καρδιακή προσβολή στην ηλικία των 61, λίγες μέρες πριν από την κυκλοφορία του.

The new album by legendary noise trio, To All Trains, was to be their swan song: guitarist – lead singer Steve Albini (one of the shapers of the alternative sound of late ’80s and beyond, producer & sound engineer of countless albums for artists such as the Pixies, Jesus Lizard, Fugazi, Nirvana, PJ Harvey etc.) died of a heart attack at the age of 61, a few days before its release.

Γενικότερα όταν πλησιάζει κάτι κακό, κάνουν την εμφάνισή τους έντονα προειδοποιητικά φαινόμενα που κατά κανόνα παρερμηνεύονται. Σαν μαύρη τρύπα που παραμορφώνει το χώρο και το χρόνο.
Καταλαβαίνω ακριβώς τι λες. Προσωπικά άλλωστε έχω μπει σε διαδικασία “πολεμικού διαλογισμού” – θεωρώ ότι είναι η μόνη επιλογή. Σ’ αυτό έχω προσαρμόσει μέρος της μουσικής μου δραστηριότητας.
Αν (ισχύει/αποδειχτεί ότι) δεν μπορούμε να επηρεάσουμε τίποτα με τη δύναμη του νου, είμαστε χαμένοι. Έχω επαρκείς λόγους να ελπίζω το αντίθετο.

Δεν χρειάζεται να προστεθούν, τους αφορά άμεσα. Η συγκέντρωση της ενέργειας εκεί γίνεται, τα περί “guts” που λένε οι Anglo-Σάξονες δεν τα λένε για πλάκα.
Παρεμπιπτόντως το έντερο (οι νευρώνες του οποίου επικοινωνούν με εκείνους του εγκεφάλου) είναι το κέντρο του ανοσοποιητικού, εξ ου η καθοριστική σημασία της διατροφής για την υγεία, και η Ιπποκρατική ρήση “όλες οι ασθένεις ξεκινούν από το έντερο”.
Η σύγχρονη ιατρική επιτρέπει στον άνθρωπο να καταναλώνει ό,τι του καπνίσει, και για ό,τι προκύψει στη συνέχεια, έχει έτοιμο το κατάλληλο “σκεύασμα”.
Ίσως,τότε,-από τη στιγμή που αναγνωρίζουμε τον κομβικό ρόλο των guts-θα μπορούσαμε να αποκαλέσουμε και το “κλύσμα” στο οποίο μας έχουν υποβάλει οι διάφοροι “ειδικοί” ως μια ξεκάθαρη διαδικασία brainwashing;
Definitely! Γενικώς και οι δυο εγκέφαλοί μας (και ο κανονικός, και ο “εντερικός”) …τρώνε καλά.
