When I hear pieces like this, and many others you have posted, I realize just how limited my exposure to music was in my life. Growing up in the Canadian prairies, it was mostly Country and Western, which I hated because my parents liked it. When rock came along, it was my rebel’s choice.
So, at this late age, I am coming to love many more genres. There is you… and I must say Charlotte Hoather, Soprano has opened my ears and mind. Thank you!
Don’t say that your exposure is limited because it’s not. You feel and understand much more than most of the so-called “experts” and “professionals”. To me you represent the “ideal listener”. And …there ‘s nothing wrong with Country and Western, which I happen to like. I have a “no regrets” attitude towards music, everything I ever listened to since childhood I love it still, even if it sounds a little bit naive or dated.
Thanks a lot!
