PHAROAH SANDERS : KAZUKO (PEACE CHILD)

Paul Arslanian – harmonium, wind chimes, Yoko Ito Gates – koto

One of these cases you can characterize, but not describe : the majestic meditation of
Pharoah Sanders from his album Journey to the One (1979) – a piece infused with elements of Indian and Japanese tradition.
Alongside the saxophonist,
Paul Arslanian on harmonium and wind chimes, and Yoko Ito Gates on koto.

    Excellent.
I had this playing fairly loud while reading an article on Carl Jung interpreting 2 of his dreams.
Not sure what. to think of Jung, yet, as I’ve only, in the last few years, been reading commentaries with quoted passages.
However, this music was completely conducive to the reading. Thank you!
