PAPILLON – 1973, ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK BY JERRY GOLDSMITH

Απ’ την ιστοριούλα των McCartney – Hoffman με το ‘Picasso’s Lats Words’ [βλ.
Goldsmith.

The story about
McCartney, Hoffman and Picasso’s Lasts Words [see previous post], reminded me the ‘Papillon’ movie [Steve McQueen – D. Hoffman, directed by Franklin J. Schaffner – 1973], its soundtrack written by Jerry Goldsmith, and also the equally remarkable [if not better] that David Buckley wrote for 2017’s remake.
First we hear excerpts from
Goldsmith‘s OST.

The soundtrack is fabulous. I remember the movie. It was excellent!
Steve McQueen left us too, early. He was a fantastic actor!

No. Must be one of the very few SMQ films I’ve not seen.

I love it! He plays a singer/guitar player who gets out of jail, and goes back to his wife (Lee Remick) It’s a tough love story. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0058930/ I love the title song!
