Wonderful music blog! I do love the music of Oscar Peterson as well!
You ‘re so kind, thank you! Oscar Peterson is one of my all time favorites…
Oscar as I’m sure you know was born in Montreal and still living there when I entered this world and first heard the word and the musical medium, to which I would be hooked, from then on and to my last breath, and most especially the piano Master of jazz.Always nice to be reminded that he continues to be appreciated world wide. Thank you for this, and you’re sharing of this grand musical voice of our jazz universe!
I used to watch his TV show as a kid [believe it or not, it was broadcasted on one of the …two Greek channels at that time – late ’70s – early ’80s] Next thing I heard from him was the Night Train album on Verve, and the rest is history… I have a thing for the melodic jazz piano players, like Oscar, Erroll Garner, Art Tatum, Earl Hines …thanks for the warm comment!
