From the historic first album of the great southerners [1973]. I’ll keep it simple, following their advice: this is one of the most moving songs I’ve ever heard. And I don’t mean Skynyrd only. The co-writer of the song, guitar player Gary Rossington [R.I.P.] was born this month, 72 years ago.
