I haven’t listened to Berio since my uni days and I recall his music being very different to this! I really enjoyed these pieces. I may have to play them more often 🙂
I think the reason Berio survived the avant-garde disaster (that’s what I believe this era was in general) is that he didn’t lose touch with his “traditional” side.
