67 years ago, this month, Ben Watkins was born in San Francisco. He is an important figure in the electronic field, multifaceted and adventurous. Best known by Juno Reactor, but with presence from the late ’70s in new wave & post punk bands, and also participation from the ’90s onwards in soundtracks for films like ‘Virtuosity’, ‘Mortal Kombat’ and ‘Matrix Reloaded’. We hear two Juno Reactor tracks, ‘Insects’ (00:00) from Shango, released in 2000, and ‘The Journey Kontinues’ (06:14) from Mortal Kombat : More Kombat, a compilation of songs inspired by the movie, released in 1996.
