Πέρα από το (μεγάλο) μουσικό ενδιαφέρον, οι μεταγραφές τραγουδιών του Franz Schubert για πιάνο από τον Liszt είχαν και το σκοπό διάδοσης του έργου του πρώτου στο πολυπληθές ακροατήριο του δεύτερου μέσω των κονσέρτων / ρεσιτάλ του. Ακούμε τον κορυφαίο Murray Perahia σε δυο απ΄αυτά : ‘Ständsen’ (‘Serenade’) και ‘Auf Wasser Zu Singen’ (‘To Sing On The Water’). 📀 📀 Beyond the (great) musical interest, Liszt’s transcriptions of Franz Schubert’s songs for piano also served the purpose of disseminating the first composer’s work to the large audiences of the second through his concerts/recitals. We hear the supreme Murray Perahia in two of these: ‘Ständchen’ (‘Serenade’) and ‘Auf dem Wasser zu singen’ (‘To Sing On The Water’).
