Το σπάνιο ταλέντο, και η γνωστή μέριμνα της βρετανικής πολιτείας για την “αξιοποίηση” των προικισμένων τέκνων της, έφεραν από τα τέλη των ‘00s τον Benjamin Grosvenor (γεν. 1992) στην πρώτη γραμμή των σολίστ του πιάνου. Έχει διακριθεί στο στάνταρ ρεπερτόριο (Σοπέν, Λιστ κτλ), εδώ τον ακούμε σε μια σειρά από μικρής διάρκειας βαλς, Valses Poeticos, του Ισπανού συνθέτη Enrique Granados (1867 – 1916) πρώτο από τους τιμώμενους μουσικούς του Ιούλη. The rare talent, as well as the well-known care of the British state for “making good use” of its gifted children, brought Benjamin Grosvenor (born 1992) to the forefront of piano soloists, from the late ‘00s on. He has distinguished himself in the standard repertoire (Chopin, List etc), but here we hear him in a series of short waltzes [Valses Poeticos] by the Spanish composer Enrique Granados (1867 – 1916) first of our musicians born this month. Also born in July is the virtuoso.
